Manager, Contract Operations (Current Employee) –  Irvine, CAAugust 24, 2017
Before the providence merge, there was room for advancement, now there is a freeze and have been several layoffs.

Most of the management are supportive but some can be very confrontational or non-supportive which leads to frustration. Some do not exercise the values and there isn't much done about it.

HR does not support the staff with disputes.
Pros
Work / life balance, supportive manager, autonomous
Cons
Politics, poor attitudes, conflict

Medical Assistant (Current Employee) –  Yorba Linda, CAAugust 14, 2017
Seemed like a good company to work for when I got hired on. But since receiving my LVN license there is no room for growth. Management does not give you an opportunity for advancement due to judging a person without getting to know them. Overall very unsatisfied working at St. Jude Heritage.

Working for a company for over 15 years I think speaks for itself. Management cares about it's employees. Physicians are great and fellow employees are also!

A Stepping Stone
Rehabilitation Aide (Former Employee) –  Wayne, NJJuly 17, 2017
Saint Josephs looks good on the outside once you get hired everything goes downhill from there. Human Resources is a joke any complaint is not taken serious. Nothing gets solved it always seems to be the employees fault. Saint Joe's is one of the cheapest hospitals in the area when it comes to salary/hourly for employees compared to other places even if you have experience. Management is a joke and is constantly hovering over you since the hospital is so small and understaffed they constantly put extra stress and add more to employees job duties. Overall I would not recommend anyone to work at this hospital, look elsewhere better pay and overall feeling of appreciation.

Internship was beneficial. Employment opportunities were not readily available. No effort was made to employ interns. Jobs were available but when I applied, I received the auto response, "Thanks for applying. We will contact you if anything becomes available."
Pros
Ample learning vehicles available.
Cons
No permanent available and end of internship.

Too much pressure
Pharmacy Technician (Current Employee) –  Orange County, CAApril 12, 2017
It would've been a perfect place to work with if it's just you are not always rushing to work. They expect you to be fast and efficient at the same time. I saw lots of techs making mistakes and not just techs also some pharmacists too. You don't even have time to breathe in. I hope they will change the nature of their style of work that gives the technicians to work on their own phase. I think it's hard to work fast and be efficient or perfect at the same time. You cannot be rushing your job specially you work in the pharmacy. You have to accurate with the dosing and everything.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Bad management, to much pressure to work in.

Environment driven by fear!
Management Assistant (Former Employee) –  New JerseyApril 11, 2017
They are top heavy yet they pay their lower level staff poorly and consistently demonstrate poor employment practices. Upper management spews a good story but the do not walk the talk. Employees have limited opportunities for learning and development. Very limiting, anxiety-ridden culture. Co-workers cannot be trusted because they operate in fear. Work here at your own risk.
