Good people to work with.
Theatre Nurse (Former Employee) – London – February 16, 2016
I qualified as an adult nurse in 2004 and decided that my chosen path in nursing would be within the peri-operative environment. St. Mary's Hospital is a teaching hospital; therefore, I have been able to rotate within several specialties including gynecology, ENT, recovery, vascular, ophthalmic, orthopedics and cardiac. I have attained high standards of sterile techniques. Teamwork and communication are both vital components within the peri-operative environment and I have learnt how to act accordingly. In addition, correct and precise documentation needs to be maintained while sustaining the patients care during surgery. The most important aspect of my role as a theatre nurse is to act as the patients advocate to oversee that they are being treated with respect and dignity.
Work half a day every two weeks.
Far away to travel for me (2 hours).
