StMU is all about community more than anything, and if you work hard and do your part, there will be plenty of people willing to lend a hand for you down the road.

Student Library Assistant (Former Employee), San Antonio, TXAugust 19, 2013
Pros: study time
Cons: worked late at night
I had a great job and was also to complete school work. I was not given work-study but this position with the library gave me more pay with the ability to study also and make some extra income.

A good way for struggling students to earn money
History Work-study (Former Employee), San Antonio, TXMay 7, 2013
A typical day involves entering the office to sign in. Students have to check the e-mail account for work if they are not assigned previous projects. Students sit at the desk waiting to be useful to professors. We were allowed to take lunch breaks and leave if we needed to. Some professors may have assigned more work than needed, but students finished it.

Part-time instructor position was fun, lacked job security and benefits.
Adjunct Instructor of Drama (Former Employee), San Antonio, TXJanuary 10, 2012
Pros: collegiate atmosphere
Cons: no benefits, no commitment offered to part-time instructors
I taught introduction to drama lecture classes of 50-75 students. Teaching was gratifying, and I enjoyed relative freedom with the curriculum. As in most cases in any college, however, a part-time, adjunct position offered no benefits or formal job security.

I enjoyed being a university instructor because my brain is constantly working.
College Instructor (Former Employee), Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, PhilippinesApril 24, 2013
Pros: good paying job.
Cons: lots of paper work.
Being a teacher involves meeting a lot of people with different background & culture...and that includes the management & your co-workers. The hardest part of the job is to keep updated with what you are teaching especially in subjects like marketing & management.

Good part time employment
Security Dispatcher (Former Employee), Halifax, NSJuly 17, 2012
Typical day at work included helping students, staff, and visitors with questions about the campus - including directions, lost and found, any problems they are having. Main duties included responding to any alarms that may sound around campus and from the field officers. Management was good as were my co-workers. I learned how to manage handling serious events and what to do with serious events.
