StackStreet.com, launching in February 2014, is focused on redefining traditional online business news by creating a platform that creates a centralized community, while at the same time curating the individual brands of contributors (bloggers). Our target audience is the Millennial generation.

We believe in being fully transparent with our contributors. Our contributors will not receive direct financial compensation from StackStreet.com, but we will help build their personal brands through widespread exposure in various forms on our platform.

We are currently accepting applications for a limited number of contributors to write on our meticulously designed platform, leading up to our launch. We have developed a platform of leading edge publishing technologies and tools, with a focus on creating a great experience for our readers.

We expect our contributors to journalism to develop meaningful business news articles, blog entries, or opinion pieces all related to our four main macro-categories: Earn, Invest, Spend, and Tech.

If you have experience in writing/blogging for Forbes.com, The Huffington Post, or Medium.com, we will be particularly interested in hearing from you. If you have experience with Wordpress, that is great.

QUALITIES WE ARE SEEKING IN STACKSTREET.COM BLOGGERS

1. Identifying interesting and engaging business stories in the global or national context, but which have long-tail potential (the article is relevant for a long period of time).

2. Previous experience writing/blogging for Forbes.com, The Huffington Post, or Medium.com is highly valued, but not required.

3. Able to write in a simple and engaging manner in a blogging / digital news platform internet environment, i.e. blogging using Wordpress tools and SEO strategies.

4. Resourceful about using multimedia elements in stories routinely (videos, pictures) and in using social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) to distribute/share stories.

5. Knowledge of where to find the most interesting voices and commentary on the web (or equivalent experience in the private sector).

6. Familiar with journalistic writing styles in generating clean copy, conforming to our editorial standards (fun, edgy, yet sophisticated).

7. Proven editorial judgment, self-editing and copy editing skills - an entrepreneurial journalist/blogger.

8. Build positive and fun relationships with your readers, fellow contributors, and editors.

9. No previous incidents of plagiarism, libel, slander, or journalistic violations.
