Not very professional, very cliquish
Account Supervisor (Former Employee), Nashville, IL – May 16, 2013
Pros: set schedule
Cons: lack of professionalism/judgement
My experience is much different than most, I would imagine. I took a job at a manufacturing facility in a small town. There was lots of gossip, and it was very much a 'good ol' boy/girl' situation

Productive work place
Production Worker (Former Employee), Jackson, TN – May 8, 2013
Pros: lunch breaks we're decent amount of time.
Cons: i cant say that there are any cons.
We are required to arrive to work on time. Supervisors showed up to work before the workers showed up. What i learned is that you must take the work that you do very serious like its your own. My co-worker we're always respectful and well mannered. There wasn't any thing that was hard on the job, unless you made it that way. The most enjoyable part of – more... the day would be in the mornings when all the co-workers would arrive and we would encourage each other to have have a great day. Also the most enjoyable part of the job is when we accomplish the goal that has been set for the day. The management t was great they took their responsibilities serious like they we're required. – less

Package Handler (Former Employee), Carol Stream, IL – April 29, 2013
A typical day at work for me is being busy and doing the job that i am being paid to do. The most enjoyable part is when there is always some work for me to do and the hardest part is when there is no work available and i get laid off. My managers love me and say i am an excellent worker. I get along with all my coworkers.

Having a steady job
Production line worker and Team Leader (Former Employee), Jackson, Tn. – April 9, 2013
Pros: loving the job
Cons: favortism
The typical day at work floating around the factory. I learned you have to be a well rounded person. Some of the management team were well liked. My coworkers having to adjust to different personalities. The hardest part of the job being pushed out the door because of favortism. The enjoyable part of the job knowing you had a job to go to.

Part time work, poor pay, disorganized management.
Associate (Current Employee), Alliston, Ontario, Canada – March 31, 2013
Pros: a lot of time off !
Cons: a lot of time off !
Our typical day of work starts out with us wondering if we will have a day of work...management never seems to know if we will have raw materials to work with. Logistics is so poor we usually end up getting asked to work stat holidays to catch up. Management also claim to be poorly informed about raw materials by the host company, we rarely work a full – more... week. Benefits are non existent at the Canadian operations unlike the U.S. operations where employees may choose to buy into a benefits plan. The Staff office itself is staffed by unqualified personnel who cannot seem to fill the simplest payroll requests. All in all, the most disorganized company I have ever worked for. – less

Good work environment.
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee), Greenville, MS – March 4, 2013
My shift always changed so it was always different. I just learned a little more about Uncle Ben's rice. The managers were very nice people. My co-workers were very different than what I am used to but i adjusted quickly. The hardest part was working with a few people but as I said, I adjusted quickly. The most enjoyable part was completing a full work – more... day. – less

HORRIBLE!!!
Trucking Agent (Current Employee), Houston, TX – March 3, 2013
The job duties are very simple and easy to learn, yet the knowledge of upper management in little to now! I have also been false hired being promised a long term jopb and now being told, "its a temp job"!!!

– March 7, 2013

The managers were not organized. They would hire too many temp. workers so each worker would only get 2 days labor per week.

– March 20, 2013

Try getting to know what there needs are. Get to know the management instead of saying how little they know. You can always learn something from someone. Always remain teachable and coachable. They are in there position for a reason. Respect and honor is how you climb the ladder! If you think you know everything and talk down to people you will always remain at the bottom. Show them you want the job. Give them a reason to want to keep you permanent! Think about it if someone was telling you how little you know and was negative would you want to give them that raise or hire them permanently? Just some things to think about. I truly wish you well!

Not very professional managing
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee), Campbellsville, KY – February 21, 2013
Pros: paid bills
Cons: no job security regardless of how long you've worked there
Until someone actually gets hired to amazon full-time, your job security is at a constant risk for even the smallest mistakes. If it's not perfection; then you are not kept for long. I worked there for 8 months, cross trained in almost every outbound department they have and 1 inbound and they still didn't keep me around though my scores were among – more... the highest. They don't keep you up to date on policy changes or hours remaining. If you could get hired straight to amazon; you are much better off. Though it is the best paying job in my area; the management is very unprofessional. – less

Company tells associates what they want to hear.
Material Processor (Seasonal) (Former Employee), Ottawa, KS – February 13, 2013
Pros: working with other co-workers and the public
Cons: no benefits, and no notices of layoffs.
Associates were promised to be hired on full time, however if an associate was not in the click they were not considered. Management and supervisors were not on the same page. They would each tell associates a different instruction thus causing much termoil on the floor.
