Don't even bother
Apparently Unemployable (Former Employee), Norwich,NY – April 25, 2013
Pros: there has been none
Cons: they don't even try to help you
I went months ago to have them promise they could get me work the very next week in a very well known plant in the area, just to be still waiting for any work, any where months later. You call or stop in every week to hear the same answer that there is no work, but this being a small town you hear from friends that their friends who just walked in,were – more... hired from SW for jobs that you have been waiting to work at. It seems they want the less desirables knowing they won't work out or can't pass a drug test and will have to keep going back to SW for a job, having them keep taking a portion of that paycheck each pay week.
They don't even try to find you something if your decent in dress and appearance or have the education. I'm not alone as I have talked to neighbors and friends that they are going through the same problems with this agency. Don't bother,it's not worth your time! – less

An ok work place.
Temporary worker (Former Employee), Sterling Heights, MI – December 19, 2012
Pros: work with your out of work schedule.
Cons: low pay for hard work
This was a temp service. I learn a little more about checking quality of parts. The hardest part of the job was bending all day and back braces are not provided. Co-workers were lover of drama.

Placement: Suburban Propane
Customer Service Representative II (Current Employee), Syracuse, NY – October 23, 2012
Placed with Suburban Propane in their Contact Center to assist customers with emergency delivery, service, and account inquiries. Telephone customer service.

Shared values, teamwork, importance of clear communication. Friendly work environment, co-workers always happy to assist.

Seasonal Temporary position which lead to long-term/year-round, still – more... temporary placement. Potential for permanent placement with benefits but would prefer to work in the field of Landscape Design or Enviornmental Construction as a designer or administrative support personnel. – less

Doing alot of work and not getting paid for it
Forklift Driver/Shipper/Trailer loader (Former Employee), Chehalis, WA – October 1, 2012
Pros: worked with good people, lived a mile away
Cons: poor management, bad pay
I never liked this job for only two real reasons. The tasks asked of us by management were so impossible with the lack of information that was given to us labor workers. Not saying we couldn't make it happen most of the time. But we never knew coming into work everyday if we were going to be sent home or stay for a 12 hour shift. It was an okay job – more... when you really need the money but to stay and make a career out of it would be rediculous. A typical day would be unloading various merchandise with forklift or by hand, sort and record what was recieved then it would checked and shipped out to several diffent stores around the country. – less

Make your own schedule
Material Inspector / Packer (Current Employee), Sterling Heights, MI – September 7, 2012
Pros: full time
Cons: short breaks and long hours
get to work sign in, break for 15 mionutes, wait for supervisor to give assignment. Once you get your assignment, get a record sheet start by putting your name, date, material Type and Lot number, start time and start count. Once done with your record sheet put to the side start your machine, I put the material on the machine the Tapper threads the – more... parts, my partner catches the material and make sure that the parts are threaded and throws it in the bend. – less

Beyond rude coworkers
Food Packager (Former Employee), Ilion, NY – July 5, 2012
Pros: quitting
Cons: everything
every coworker in the building was very rude. I was the one who was bouncing around the room/ departments to go things for others because they were too lazy to get it. I recieved dirty looks and was put on the hardest or boring jobs because no one else wanted to do them

Not a good experience.
Temporary Labor (Former Employee), Norwich, NY – March 25, 2012
Pros: friendly
Not flexible with the needs of the employee. Once placed into a job can not move into another job. When laid off they tell you there are no other jobs. Their insurance is a total rip-off.

Loved temping for this agency!!!
San Diego, CA (Former Employee), Administrative Temp – November 10, 2011
Pros: all staff members that i met were just great!
Cons: none that i can think of.
I had several years out of the workplace and having a very difficult time finding work. Most temp agencies wouldn't work with me. StaffWorks took a chance and once I proved myself on the first job, they kept assigning me higher-paying jobs with better and better companies. On my 3rd assignment I was offered a full-time position.
