Depending on you position ( or just your location in the office building) you may be subjected to daily verbal abuse directly from the Majority Shareholder of this company, and at times indirectly from some of the other shareholders. Stressful, hostile and generally awful is how I would describe this office. Not only slightly sexist in the way woman are treated ( dress, hair, makeup, even posture is scrutinized) but the expectation of being berated publicly in front of other staff at least 1-3 days a week is commonplace for items ranging from mislabeling a food item in the office kitchen, to the way cups are placed on a meeting table, or to how loud a persons voice is in responding to a question.
While this is a family/divorce law firm, rarely do the problems come from clients, but rather the upper management of the company. Turnover is high due to lack of respect and likely due to high stress. Most enjoyable part of working here was the regular staff and office manager who worked very hard to see that the employees of this establishment were able to do their jobs the best to their abilities and TRIES to shield them from as much abuse as possible.
