Pros: flexible internship program.
Cons: work nature could get monotonous if you aren't driven.
A very cohesive unit. Excellent Technology Head with a keen acumen. Definitely learnt alot about project management. Also picked up a few ideas about Wholesale Banking with helped me decide my subject of study for post graduation. Management is quick in response. Training is provided to ensure self confidence and motivation.
Internship (Former Employee), Chennai, India – October 7, 2013
A typical day would begin with updating and do a follow up with my manager. There would a constant flow of communication on progress about the projects and also discussions on resolving issues. Learnt ample about how back end operations in wholesale banking works, and also gained knowledge and experience in analyzing large amounts of data. Co-workers – more... were great, helpful, work oriented and also know how to have fun. The hardest part of the job would be the part of collecting data for the project and understanding what kind of data we needed to resolve and understand the issues faced. The most enjoyable part would be, that I was being challenged constantly. – less
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Dhaka – August 21, 2013
Standard Chartered is a bank who work internationally. It was great to work there. I have learned everything about credit analysis from SCB. They regularly do research and update policies and train their people accordingly. Most retail banks in Bangladesh follow them. The co workers are all brilliant and hard working. Time table at month end was hard – more... for me. The most enjoyable day was when i received an award from Head of SME for best supporting partner from risk team – less
