I'm thinking seriously about applying with Standard Data Group for a at home Data Entry position through the government. What exactly is there fee for and do you really get a job working for the government?

EVIL is the first word that comes to mind for me as stated in a previous post, I apologize for all the misspelled words because my computer keyboard has stopped working properly and guess what, they were made to last really not much longer then two years then you can spend what it takes to get a brand new computer or buy a brand new one! Anyway, here it is almost 6 am and like it has been mentioned in earlier posts I have read, try early and so I did and so I only got recorded messages! I will try again, but so everyone is clear, I spoke to this little girl because of her attitude she cannot be a real woman because a real woman need not act in the evil way this little excuse for garbage did, yes I am pissed off! Not feeling too good right now with this latest experience as I already have no job but like everyone on here have been looking for months! My income right now has me in the below poverty level yet I have two kids to feed and clothe! Now here comes what I THOUGHT was a way out of this, I am not greedy, I will work for minimum wage even, something is better then nothing! This gift to this company was not something I planned on doing! Yes it was merely a gift to fill the purse of some private owner probably laying on the beach somewhere in the Bahamas laughing at all us "idiots" a name I am sure we all have obtained from this company! To be truthful, I am upset by the whole experience and not to happy with myself for allowing this to happen to me! but, I am no different then all the other people looking for help at a time when we all should be working together to get our country back to a better place and these evil companies working overtime to suck us into their so-called companies! As a country that needs to unite, can we put our heads together to put a stop to this sort of evilness??? Any ideas??? Thanks to you all and the best of luck to you all!

I found this ad at Career.com well I called I was told I had to pay $69.00 dollars this would be credited to my account 2-4 business days and the information would be shipped in 5. The requirements you must be 18 years or older, no felonies, have a computer, internet connection and a us citizen. They are not registered with BBB but the operator stated that the BBB recgonized them as a business. This sounds like a scam I have checked out the website and it really does not expalin much, she also explain they had an 84% placement reate I would love for someone who has tried this to sign in and explain it to those who have failed and state where they work how much income, and how long did it take to be place.

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Standard Data Group? Any advice on striking the right note?

I saw this ad on the website and called after talking with someone i remembered what someone once told me is that if it sounds good then check into it, and after reading some of the complaints here I decided to call back and cancel my order, because I post dated a payment. Maybe they are taking advantage of what's going on with the massive job losses. JUST BEWARE, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A FEE. I think i may get another debit card just to be on the safe side.

BBB Comments and Analysis: We advise against sending money to companies making these kind of offers. Most advertise on the Internet, via email, or in the help wanted sections of newspapers and other publications. The companies placing the ads are not hiring anyone. Their actual business is deceptive advertising designed to entice the public to send fees to get started. Addresses given are usually mail drops, advertised phone numbers reach recordings and calls are not returned, and no local phone numbers are listed. Most work-at-home companies advertise in states other than where they are located so as to avoid prosecution. Complaints about other companies engaging in similar types of businesses generally allege that once money is sent, respondents fail to receive the promised employment. Some complain that the company does nothing more than advise them to place the same kind of ad in their own local papers. In other cases, customers receive nothing from the company. Most of these offers are made in conjunction with a money-back guarantee, but our experience is that few customers are able to obtain refunds despite the guarantee. My Comment: This is directly from the BBB site... you go to BBB.com and enter in the companies information. They have 18 enteries and only one person received there refund, 17 did not. I called the number to find out about the opportunities and was told the fee was $69.00....after reviewing all the comments - I am glad I didn't waste the money... Good luck and remember if there is a fee involved always check out the companies credentials....

Hey guys, and girls This appears to be a scam. I worked for the government for 15 years, left on a disability, trying to get back in and can't I do have a friend who does support from home, but they had 28 years in a gov. job and when they retired they answer calls from home for 68.00 per hour!!! Talk about government waste. All they do is tell people how to fill out forms for a government agency. Something every government clerical worker has known for years. These jobs are very hard to come by, you really have to know someone. I have even paid a company who specializes in "government" resumes to write my resume and that has not help. Sorry, but there are companies and people out there, even in this economy who will still take your money.

Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Standard Data Group? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Standard Data Group?
