Since 1940, Stansell Electric Company, Inc. has been a leading provider of quality electrical contracting and related services. James N. Stansell, Sr. founded the company as a fledgling startup in his garage in Nashville, Tennessee, initially concentrating on work involving the war effort. Through the remainder of the 1940's, he built his business with a focus on commercial and industrial electrical work in Middle Tennessee.
Until his death on April 26, 2003, one day shy of his 92nd birthday, Mr. Stansell was a regular at the office, taking part in the business that he created and loved. Today, Stansell Electric continues as a family-owned company with second and third generations carrying on the legacy. The core values of the company-honesty, integrity and pride in our work-are the ultimate legacy, established by the family over the years at all levels of the organization.
Since 1940, Stansell Electric Company, Inc. has been a leading provider of quality electrical contracting and related services.
In its long successful history, Stansell Electric has branched out to other areas of the electrical industry to provide full service solutions for a growing customer base. Notably, Stansell launched a specialty in traffic control in the 1950s thanks to the opportunity to install Nashville's first actuated traffic signal at the intersection of Woodmont Boulevard and Hillsboro Road. During the age of data and communications that began in the 1980's, Stansell developed concentrated expertise in cabling, starting with the installation, testing and integration of the IBM building. As one of Nashville's first "wired facilities," it was a complex project for its time that required extensive project management, training and certification for Stansell.
To meet the demands of rapid growth, Stansell Electric moved into a newly remodeled 250,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters in 2008. The facilities are located just 5 miles from downtown Nashville and 6 miles from Nashville International Airport, conveniently positioned at the interchange of three of the nation's largest highways. From these headquarters, Stansell continues to grow as part of the community, serve a larger geographic area and provide the innovation and customer service for which it has become known. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
