This was a very good job. The company was going through some changes while I was onboard and those changes did not work for me.

This company is very good at the training side of the house. The management is ok as far as a bigger company goes. I really enjoyed the work and would have stuck with them if they would have been a little more employee oriented. But overall a great place to work.

Pros: overpriced healthcare, paid time off you cant take.. always short staffed
Cons: long hours, horrible pay, have to buy your own tools, constantly given promises that are not fulfilled, work 365 days a year
This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for and would not suggest you hire on here unless you like working for a company that takes advantage of you. Before you apply notiice that they are hiring at all locations and for almost every position... this is because they have like a 70% turn over rate. The uppper management makes bad decisions – more... and then just blames the issues on office managers and technicians and fires them quicker than they can hire new ones. Just as a side note if you work for Star West Satellite you will be working some long hours ... some days I would go to work at 6:30 am and not even get off work untill 11 pm and then have to do the same thing the next day.. average work week is 60 hours at least and they will try and screw you out of some of the time you worked so be carefull and track your hours if you are stupid enough to ignore my warning. Last note.... they will promise you lots of pay down the road but pay you very little to start... dont be fooled you will never make the money they say you will they have set up a tier system that is unachievable... just ask at your interview how many people in the company are tier 2 or tier 3. When I worked there in the beginning of 2011 there was not a single person in any of there offices at tier 3 and only 3 people in the company that could make tier 2. Out of hundredes of tech that is not a good number ...CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED. – less
