Position: Field Systems Engineer – FSE02-SD50
Capitalize on your experience to advance your career as a Field Systems Engineer with a rapidly growing company. You will work independently (full time employee status with benefits) in the field with small to mid-sized businesses to manage and support their technology systems, networks and desktop environments.
You’ll be the escalation point for our local helpdesk to handle more advanced desktop and networking issues. Some vendor management will be required such as working with ISP’s and various line of business application support teams. You’re passionate about what you do and do what it takes to get the job done with high profile clients that have critical response requirements. You will interact with a diverse group of clients from executives, business owners, managers and end users.
To be successful will require demonstration of excellent customer communication skills, knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, personal ownership, resourcefulness, adaptability and ongoing professional development to bring out the best in you. You will work about 50% from our main office providing remote support and 50% in the field (in San Diego), achieve high scores on customer satisfaction surveys, be willing to work overtime and meet utilization requirements.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience
Windows Server 2003 and/or 2008 administration
Active Directory Administration
Advanced Desktop Support, troubleshoot, rebuild, re-configure and restore
Mobile and Smart Phone support
Troubleshoot server, network & Internet connectivity issues (including router / firewall)
Troubleshoot backup failures & perform basic data restores
Exchange Server administration
Provide technical support onsite, in person, remotely & by phone
High Emotional Intelligence with a passion for self-development
Demonstration of ongoing professional development
Authorization to work in the U.S., a valid D/L, car & insurance
