JOB DESCRIPTION- MANAGER / SUPERVISOR
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of shift supervisors and or team members, aiding in managing productivity, assigning responsibility for specified work and/or functional activities as assigned by management and giving direction and monitoring scheduling assignments to insure adequate shift coverage.
Maintaining knowledge of and monitoring compliance with all corporate standards and, through leadership and example, insuring a superior guest experience is offered by team associates.
This position also performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by Management.
This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, depending on location.
During shift, directs team to various workstations to ensure speed of service, cleanliness standards, and operational needs are met.
Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to ensure operational excellence and improve team performance.
Executes store operations during scheduled shifts, organizing opening and closing duties as assigned.
Insures adherence to all operational procedures, including those for cash handling and security, to ensure the safety of all team members during the shift.
Supervises and follows up with shift team to ensure the delivery of an exceptional experience for our guests.
Assists with associate training by positively reinforcing successful performance and encouraging coaching as needed.
Required skills: Knowledge of retail and food service environment, effective oral/ written communication skills, ability to direct others, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team, ability to develop and maintain effective and helpful working relationships with other co-workers.
At least 2-3 years of related customer service and food service management experience in a retail or restaurant environment is preferred for Shift Supervisor applicants. 5+ years for Manager applicants.
