The school and community show compassion for their gifted and talented students

A typical day at work consisting of opening in the morning and closing. During this time, I get out games or activities for the kids in the base program and work in homework club. I learned that gifted and talented students have different social and emotional needs and accommodations are needed in this type of learning environment. The management and co workers are usually good about communication. The hardest part of the job is working with the students who have more needs than others and the most enjoyable part of the job is being able to hang out with them and give them support they don't always receive at home.
