Though the actual job was challenging and offered many rewards from a skill and science perspective, the attitude and self sacrifice required with in the organization was extreme. Your true commitment was to the company and only the company and everything else was insignificant including family. I enjoyed the opportunity of learning different aspects of environmental testing such as TO-15 and the advancement as a leader of a department. However, the leadership was placed on a leash with limited authority.
Also their commitment to the employees fell very short in terms of benefits such as health care, no 401K, and very limited incentives to remain a permanent member of their organization.
