Adult corrections officer, Wailua, HI - December 1, 2017
Being a corrections officer was very rewarding. When ex clients see you and say you made a difference in their lives because of one positive word or action or the minute you gave them just to listen and help them with a problem makes your heart skip a beat. When the state of Hi , dept of public safety trains you to do a job and it's the same in every county expect for one. The inmates run the jail and themselves, that's against policy and procedures, it's very hard to do your job to the best that the state trained you and what you know is right from wrong. And treated a certain way when you speak out about wrong doings. I enjoyed working for the state of Hi but was done wrong at the end of my career.
