good benefits
Official Court Reporter (Former Employee), Maui –
Pros: nice social life, get-togethers for drinks, lunch, dinner, etc.
Cons: you have to be a brown-noser to get anywhere.
nicest attorneys I have ever worked with.
All court positions are stressful, but this is probably the best one. You hear interesting cases and meet interesting people. You can make some friends, but you have to watch your back, too. They pay is a little bit below-standard, especially for being in Hawaii.

The job is challenging and has lots of activities to do when off the clock
Utility Hotel (Current Employee), Honolulu, Hawaii –
Pros: able to save money, cola isincluded
Cons: strict rules to live with, and you work 7 days a week, the pay is minium
The jobs requires 5 months contracts where you live live and work on a ship. Then your off for 5 weeks and may come back to do another contract. the company pays your plane ticket home and back to work. Work can be long and hard but it's a job where you can save money because your COLA is included. That's what draws workers back. You focus on your job – more...  while working and enjoy 5 weeks off after each contract. – less
