SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for installing and repairing all banking related equipment, including alarm and video security, pneumatic tubing, safes, vaults, drop boxes, etc. by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs service on physical security devices including safes, vaults, access control, and alarms.

Performs preventive on safes, safe deposit boxes, and vault doors including steel and lock cleaning.

Implements the locking, keying, re-keying, and the installation of mechanical and electronic hardware systems associated with the services of physical security systems.

Experience with camera surveillance systems, including camera, DVR’s, and other related equipment, monitoring, wiring, installation, and installation.

Experience with electronic locking and other security devices.

Repairs and replaces under counter locks and keys various lock systems, as needed.

Maintains master keying systems in coordination with all departments and properties which will ensure the reasonable security and reasonable convenience to departments occupying buildings and/or facilities.

Organizes and records the central key control files and records of all master keying systems.

Assists in the recommendation of storing all unassigned keys and blanks pending their application and issue.

Installs and monitors the operation and maintenance of safes, vaults, and cash protection container devices.

Identifies, assesses, and prioritizes complaint calls on banking machine service problems.

Travels to branch locations and other areas where banking machines are located.

Responds to and services mechanical functional or operational difficulties or failures, such as problems with card readers, printers, dispensers, electronic monitoring devices or depositories.

Reports complete and accurate information on service logs.

Provides banking machine status and service reports to management and recommends actions, such as technology update, replacement, or relocation.

Makes recommendations for the storage of all assigned and unassigned safes combinations and/or keys pending their application and issue.

Assists in the issuance of lock and key systems, including, but not limited to facilities door types.

Makes recommendations in regards to door, frame, and locking mechanisms as it applies to facility use and maintenance.

Receives, conducts, and assists in all emergency and service on demand lock and key work communications for departments to ensure that facilities are maintained in a safe and secure manner.

Maintains the work area in a neat and clean fashion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college, military or technical school preferred; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

 Electronics background.
 Background or knowledge of surveillance systems.
 Computer background.
 Willing to do some travel.
 Three or more years of experience servicing physical security devices such safes, vaults, vault doors, combination locks, teller pedestals (under counter equipment), safe deposit boxes and various lock and locking systems in financial institutions.
 Experience with safe/vault drilling and lock combination changes.
 General knowledge of keying and locking systems including electronic locks and electronic combination locks.
 Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
