Took and delivered customers orders, cleaned my work area and dinning room, rolled silverware, and cashed customers out.

Working with others as a team player and communication skills. The hardest was the younger high school kids that act in negative behavior and managers that don't help and are rude. Customer service was enjoyable! helping others is what I drive to do.

I made great tips at this job. The turn-over was fast. I was a shift leader, and a trainer. On thursday and fridays I worked doubles, on saturday and sundays I worked third shift but would usually come in during second. On third shift I would be the only server or have one more with me. I had to seat the tables, take the orders, deliver the food, make – more... shakes, and cash the customers out. 90% of the time I had lines out of the door, crazy drunk people, and always managed to make everyone happy. On certain nights (sometimes the weekends) it was just the drive thru person and I. So I would also have to cook my own food. In Florence Ky, Steak n Shake is one of the only places open third shift. It was very busy and a lot to handle. Also, after it died down I would be responsible for cleaning all the tables, doing all the fills, doing the dishes, the floors, the bathrooms, high chairs, kids packs, garbage inside and out. Also, counting down the drawers and going to the bank. It was a lot to deal with, but I really enjoyed my job. – less

I loved working here for the people interaction. There was a fast passed environment but not room for growth.

WASNT ENOUGH PAY FOR ME THEY WERE MESSING UP THE CREDIT CARD TIPS AND ARGUING OVER WHO HAD WHAT CUSTOMER.

staff meeting at the beginning of my shift. I learned to deal with employees that were very young and helped them deal and balance with daily struggles.

An average day here can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, but with such a great staff to work with things were easily and efficiently accomplished.

I loved meeting new people and serving different people of all cultures. I learned how to give quailty service and fast service. I had a blast working for them.

Shifts varied, 1st and 2nd. Make milkshakes, wash dishes, cook on the grill, clean the floors, prep, great co workers, fun atmosphere.

The team is more like a family. Everyone cares about each other and tries to be there in a time of need.

It's close to home, When I get the hours it not bad. Management has some know how but it should be better than it is.

Working for Steak-N-Shake was my first job as i was attending High School. It was very new and scary but then i found that it wasnt to hard to keep a job until foster care came along and i had to leave my job post to move to another city.

loved goin to work each day.the customers and employees made each day enjoyable.the better the service and freindliness meant more income for me so all around good job.

Restaurants can be tricky places to work if you are a mature adult. Be prepared for highschool level antics and call-ins aplenty. The uniform is absolutely terrible.
