On-Site Technician (Current Employee), Asheville, NCOctober 7, 2013
Pros: growth opportunities, pay & benefits
Cons: relatively new company, rapid growth, quite a bit of recent change
Sterilmed Inc has been a company experiencing rapid growth. Along with that growth has come professional growth opportunities. Challenges have presented themselves resulting in decisions to reorganize divisions of the company.

I enjoyed interacting with the staff and office personnel.
On-Site Technician (Former Employee), Dallas,/ FT. Worth,TXAugust 7, 2013
Pros: it was familiar territory.
Cons: i did a lot of traveling around and traffic is horrible up here.
I traveled around the Dallas/ Ft.Worth area to hospitals and surgery centers, where I would pick-up, sort, package and ship used medical instruments to Mn. to be reprocessed. I coordinated with Department Heads and Sterile Processing as well as the OR in regards to orders and returns. Since I had been a Surgical Technologist I already knew the instruments – more... and the procedures of moving around the hospitals so it wasn't something that was out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the staff and had a great relationship with them all. – less

Constant work and serious work place
Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Former Employee), Brooklyn Park, MNMay 14, 2013
Pros: steady pay and hours.
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk I had to keep up with the constant flow of the orders. I learned the proper procedures of shipping and receiving. Management was always there to assist with any problem that i might've had. My co-workers where very hard working and motivated me to stay ahead. the hardest part of the job was when times where the computer – more... software would freeze and get me behind. The most enjoyable part of the job was the opportunities for over time. – less

Good idea, poor strategy
On-site technician (Current Employee), GeorgiaMay 13, 2013
Pros: flexible schedule
Cons: lots of work in the evenings, poor management. no room for advancement.
You will be overworked, and underpaid. EES is taking most of the commission and all sales force commission was cut in January 2013. Management is new and has no clue what they are doing. The company has gone down hill since J&J took them over.

Productive and fun place to work with a friendly diverse employees
Receiving Associate (Current Employee), Maple Grove, MNMay 1, 2013
Pros: pay 80% of the healthcare
Cons: hot building with no ac but provide fans
I work in a receiving area where a typical day start with gowning from top to bottom to protect employees from the device injuries and diseases. once gown up we all report to our station to do our part. Surely i have acquired and learned leadership and managements skills as i am a trainer and culture team member in which i am always engaging other employees – more... in different issues that can benefit the organization.
The organizations management is full of people willing to do anything they can to improves organizations reputations despite normal ups and downs. There availability is outstanding as they always come whenever they can to discuss important or urgent issues. All the employees are very friendly as its companies culture to hire people with an amazing positive attitude from diverse and different places which create fun working environment.
The hardest part of the job is learning a medical device name , where its used and how? as they deal with a variety of medical devices. The most enjoyable part of the job is the very friendly working environment they have, thanks to the culture team in which i am a member. – less
