Sterling is a Medicare Advantage Insurance company. The culture was up-beat and positive. Employees were trained well and treated well.
My day began at 7:30 a.m. checking emails and my calendar, Ms. Johnson's calendar and that of the other executives. Making phone calls as needed, filing if necessary, meetings, arrange travel, file expense reports, generate reports, etc. Made myself available to other department managers as needed. Prepared the department head agendas and transcribed meeting minutes. Arranged refreshments and set up conference room(s) for meetings.
Worked closely with all 12 department managers and their assistants. Enjoyed working with everyone at Sterling.
The most difficult part of the position was trying to support the National Medical Director who lived in Atlanta, GA and commuted back and forth from Atlanta to Bellingham weekly. At times, she would insist on making changes to her travel at the last minute at a large expense.
