Not a great place for advancement
Medical Assistant (Former Employee) –  Norwood, MAMarch 1, 2017
I enjoyed my job, however the management in this company could stand some training and coaching themselves. We were told by one of the regional managers that we were just a number and that number and be replaced at anytime for any reason. Not a good way to keep the morale up in the office.

Registered Medical Assistant (Former Employee) –  Salem, NHJanuary 12, 2017
They micro manage everything and everyone. HR department is horrible because when you try and complain about management they just find excuses to blame you for what is happening. There are not enough doctors to see the number of patients and most of the time patients get referred to urgent care instead of being seen by their PCPs. Every office has different policies, so there is no consistency. They also change policies without informing employees, so a lot of times you find out the changes when you are getting in trouble for not following the "policies". Doctors are not respected by management and their complaints are usually not address and when they are they are usually not in a timely manner. The turn around of employees is huge
Pros

I currently for Steward and have been for 3 years now. I love it. I am Per diem and I float to different offices, which I like. No complaints on any office I've been to so far. Also the doctors are all nice.
Pros
friendly environment, friendly staff members
Cons
half hour breaks

Management is horrible. They micro manage everything and everyone. They do not follow through with anything that they promise. They HR department is horrible because when you try and complain about management they just find excuses to blame you for what is happening. The turn around of employees is huge and most people don't stay in their positions for more than 6months.

A typical day at work is very busy with awesome team work and great management.
I don't find any part of the job hard, but the most enjoyable part of the job is working with a group of fun loving people, including the doctors.
Pros
Free lunches and awesome birthday celebrations

Typically a day at work is very hectic because you are pulled in several different directions. There are deadlines that need to be met and the people you work with are friendly enough. It would be nice if the department would be a little more organized so that everyone knows what is going on. For the most part, it's a good company to work for.
Pros
excellent benefits
