Paid Internship, McLean, VA - April 1, 2013
Due to being an intern, my typical tasks shifted daily. I worked on things from general office administration, zoning law research, prospective client background research, market research, records management, and other projects. I learned to use parts of Microsoft Excel and Word that I had not previously worked with, how to organize certain types of paperwork, and how to report research findings to meetings of company executives. Management is involved, but not overly so. Co-workers are nice and willing to be engaged in conversation, but are also hardworking. The hardest part of the job was working on projects and in fields I had no experience with, however the best part of the job was managing to accomplish those tasks in a way that received compliments from management.
