Is a challenge place to work.
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee), Chicago, ILJanuary 30, 2014
Pros: incentives for having a great customer service, receiving a free lunch on your birthday.
Cons: dealing with angry customers.
Helping customers is one of the things that I enjoy the most at this company. At this particular company, it is a great experience seeing the satisfaction of our clients after the calls. Hearing the concerns of the customers was at times challenging but overall made the day more exciting knowing that I could help people.

Very Productive and Family Feeling
Work from Home Coordinator/Supervisor (Former Employee), Sauk City, WISeptember 11, 2013
Pros: friendly, management, healthcare, flexible hours
Cons: low pay, short breaks
I learned much from this company such as Management, sales, and customer service skills. A typical day at work would consist of supervising the call floor, answer advisers questions, monitoring calls, coaching advisers, handled escalated calls, and trained/updated advisers. The most enjoyable part of the job was how friendly and family feeling the whole – more... workplace felt among the management and the advisers. – less

going out of business
Advisor (Former Employee), Eau Claire, WIJune 6, 2013
Pros: no pro's
Cons: cutting hours. going under
They lost there inbound clients. They keep losing outbound clients. You get sent home if you don't make a sale in 3 hours of your shift. They are going under fast. They don't care about there employees. They don;t offer full time unless you can get lots of sales

Straight Forward is a sales organization. Like any sales organization their are standards and expectations for sales results. Straight Forward does provide a 4 week paid training and makes every attempt through side by side coaching, focus groups, kick-offs, and live monitoring to assist their advisors in performing and being successful. If you have a desire to be successful and thrive in a sales environment you will be successful. Full-time positions are available as well as part-time in all of Straight Forward locations (Sauk City, Eau Claire and Rice Lake). Straight Forward has made the move to an Outbound only sales organization and currently does not provide any Inbound services. More information is located on its company website that I would encourage looking at or speaking with a site recruiter.

Work loads vary from day to day in a climate controlled comfort.
Customer Relations Advisor (Current Employee), Eau Clarie, WisconsinJanuary 24, 2013
Pros: overtime is limited to evening and weekend hours only; management serve as mentors.
Cons: very little personal freedom, generally a break about every three hours; barely enough parking spaces, but no transit bus service available.
Just a basic level of training to work on a very complex accounting system; some customers are very difficult to cope with, and a book of rules is provided. Management is readily to assist with difficult details, but encourage new hires to learn how to function independently with little assistance. Advisors on Inbound calls can qualify to perform their – more... work at home, provided a proven ablitiy to do the work independently, however this is limited to inbound calls only. Performance bonus is constingent on some factors being satisfied across-the-board without exception. – less

Fun and enjoyable.
Sale Advisor (Current Employee), Sauk City, WIJanuary 13, 2013
Pros: get one ten minute paid lunch. if you miss a day can always make up the hours another day.
Cons: rude co-workers and being told you doing wrong in front of everyone instead of being pulled aside.
I learn to rebuttle calls and get people interested in products and services that Charter offers. Management is very understanding to your needs and wants. A lot of the co-workers don't have respect for silence or messing around between or while on calls. Day gets long when you can't surf net or anything between calls. Hardest part is asking for a sale – more... multiple times after the customer already says no, well its hard for me when Im not a pushy person. But I do enjoy trying to help my customers save money on their everyday entertainment services. – less

Not a EOE
employee (Former Employee), ECJune 4, 2014
Pros: its a job
Cons: management consults with wife who works for another company
After applying there with four other people, we found out that our previous managers husband was a manager there, we all got treated horribly and upon getting discharged were even told that his wife had told him not to hire us. Complaints with EOE were filed as well as consulted with attorney and we all won unemployment. BE CAREFUL
