The Digital Journalism Instructor will teach teens to critique and produce digital journalism in a classroom setting.
Plan and execute a lesson, and manage classrooms.
Motivate, challenge and inspire young people.
Assist development of web platform for student-created content.
College degree and/or professional experience in Journalism or related field (e.g., English, Literature, Education, Video, Photography).
Solid understanding of investigative journalistic practice and ethics.
Comfortable working with urban and at-risk youth (e.g., Chicago Public Schools students).
Technical expertise in video and/or photography.
Wix or similar online platform experience.
Spanish and commitment to social justice a plus.
This is a freelance/part-time job. Pay based on experience and education.
