Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Stryker?
Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?
What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Stryker?

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Stryker?
Any advice on striking the right note?

I have tried to get through to Stryker as a Associate Sales Representative in the Salt Lake City area for months and not received a call. I know that there are thousands of people wanting to work for this great company, but I feel I would a great asset for this company. I have a very successful sales background and strive to be the best. Does anyone know a recruiter or someone in the HR department that I may be able to send my resume to? I am very eager to break into the medical field with this company and will not stop until they give me the chance to prove myself. I appreciate the feedback and hopes to hear from someone that could possibly help me in my progression to get where I want to go. Thank you.

Hi All,
I had an interview with the HR and now I have an interview with the hiring manager without going through gallup. I spoke to my friends in Stryker and they said it is very weird. Anyone faced a similar situation?
And any suggestions on the interview?
Thanks

I helped a friend take that Gallup personality test. He didn't have access to a computer so he gave them my email address. I read him the questions and he gave me his answers over the phone and I entered them. Unfortunately, I realized half way through that I had been clicking 'strongly disagree' rather than strongly agree. I emailed Gallup to ask if he could do it again, and didn't hear back.
Have I ruined his chances for an interview? What can I do?

Got a call for initial phone interview, that lasted for almost an hour. The recruiter said she want me to go to the next phase which was the Gallup. She makes and appointment to call at 3:30pm i get a call at 3:25 from her assistant saying the recruiter was tied up and would call me at 4:30pm i wait the hour then get a call from her at 4:40pm saying she has to meet will her manager to give him a message and would call be back at 4:50...Needless to say she NEVER called back and that was last week. I finally called her back and left a voice message but still have not gotten any reponse...so i wasted my afternoon waiting 2hrs to get no call. Now how would they look upon me if i were late to an interview or didnt show at all and made no excuse. They are not worth the time of day. If i get a call i will let them know how inconsiderate it was and i do NOT want to work for an organization that treats anyone in this manner.

Do you work at Stryker? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?
Any advice for someone trying to get in?

I've done everything I can think of to try and get a sales job at Stryker. I'm not sure if I can get my foot in the door however because my background is in commercial and residential real estate finance and sales. Does anyone have any advice as to how to get a job at Stryker?
Secondly, there are a lot of complaints about Stryker on the message boards here. Does anyone on here actually like working for Stryker? If you do like working there, why do you like it?

i took a similar test like the gallup for another medical company, not stryker. i have to tell you, ANYBODY who agrees that these assessment scores are a direct correlation to future success in the workplace is living under a rock and is an absolute fool!!! when your put people on the spot, even when fully prepared with pages of notes and example questions, it's difficult to respond in the way you plan on responding and how the company wants you to respond. your brain sometimes reacts differently, but that doesn't mean you have low eq or wont be successful in the work place. companies who rely soley on these pressure oriented assessments are going to miss out on a lot of strong potential candidates and workplace allstars. no wonder our unemployment rates in this country are so high, companies make it virtually impossible to get a job with these tests, and many people have learning disabilities who may not score as well on the spot, but do just fine in pressure situations in the workplace. so when it comes down to it, many of these companies who do this to weed people out very well could be breaking certain laws and disability rights!!!!! its just that nobody has the balls to stand up to them and make a complaint to a disability lawyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
