Albany-based communications and management company seeks talented and driven database and web developer to build exceptionally functional, user-friendly databases and websites for local, state and national non-proift organizations. The position begins as a 25/hr a week, $18/hr, part-time position, with tremendous opportunity for growth and advancement.
The ideal candidate must have experience as a power user of an open source CMS such as Joomla, Drupal or WordPress, and ideally with some experience with the CiviCRM extension. Experience working in PHP/MYSQL environment (LAMP stack) is also needed, along with the ability to translate real-life business processes and workflows into project specifications and application design. Abilities to handle multiple projects and deliver within established deadlines are essential, as is a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity in programming e-commerce solutions and some familiarity in troubleshooting IT/hardware and network issues a plus.
The successful candidate must be a problem-solver who enjoys working in a positive small business environment with a highly creative team, and be motivated to contribute to the overall growth and success of the company. Excellent communications skills, a customer-service orientation, client-centered perspective and an on-going personal motivation to challenge oneself and grow professionally are essential. Training will be provided early evenings and weekends as necessary.
