1. Reports To:
1.1. Operations Leader

2. Job Requirements (Duties)
2.1. Capable of operating all Low Speed Balance Machines and make corrections in balance correction areas
2.1.1. Perform Check Balance of Rotors up to 20,000 pounds and 500 rpms as required
2.1.2. Perform Individual component balance of parts to be installed on the rotor
2.1.3. Perform Progressive Stack and Balance of Rotors
2.1.4. Perform Final Balance of Rotors up to 20,000 pounds and 500 rpms as required

2.2. Complete assigned jobs start to finish with little or no supervision. This includes the ability to perform the following
2.2.1. Use proper procedure to lift and flip rotors up to 20,000 with overhead bridge cranes as required
2.2.2. Understand critical areas of the rotor that must be protected to prevent damage and utilize the processes and procedures in place to ensure no damage occurs
2.2.3. Safely operate forklifts as required

2.3. Maintain Equipment as required
2.3.1. Check / Clean electric motors
2.3.2. Maintain / Replace work belts
2.3.3. Maintain / Replace probes and cables

2.4. Use multiple precision measuring tools and obtain accurate, repeatable results
2.4.1. Handle precision measuring tools with great care
2.4.2. Understand correct measuring techniques and how different measuring methods create differing results

2.5. Have tools ready and organized to start working at the scheduled start time.

2.6. Work scheduled overtime, off shift or overtime as required.

2.7. Observe all safety rules
2.7.1. Be aware at all times and to take precautionary steps to protect yourself, coworkers and potential damage to equipment from the dangers associated with large turning objects.
2.7.2. Report potential safety hazards to your supervisors.

2.8. Maintain a complete set of Balance Technician tooling required for unstacking, stacking and balancing of blower and pump impellers and equipment

2.9. Maintain professionalism at all times as this position often involves length and demanding customer witness inspections

2.10. Clearly document measurements and balance information on approved forms, working with others to create forms as required.
