Associate Restaurant Manager, Williamstown, NJ - November 14, 2017
I started with Summerwood at 17 as a team member. I was cross-trained on all positions, promoted to shift supervisor, and then promoted to Assistant Manager (at 22). I have turned down one opportunity to run a store because I need a job with benefits and do not want to commit fully to Summerwood by taking up a store. For the work I do, I feel that I'm underpaid. Not many reliable people come around often. My boss told me I'm the only assistant he's ever had that he feels he can fully rely on. I am one of 2 assistants. I take over for my boss and run the store in his absence. It's stressful but I like it, overall. However, my health is failing and I cannot work long hours on my feet on those hard floors any longer.
