Division Order Analyst (Current Employee) –  Sugar Land, TXSeptember 19, 2017
Probably would not be wanting to leave if not relocating down town. They do micro manage, but thats the biggest down fall. If time is needed for something personal you are allowed to make the time up that you miss within reason.
Pros
Aloow you to manage your life away from the office with ease
Cons
Look over your shoulder constantly

Great work place.
Customer Service/Dispatcher (Current Employee) –  Sugar Land, TXSeptember 4, 2017
Come in the office, check daily emails, work on emails, answer driver/field supervisor/manager phone calls, due to being on a dispatch team we work 24/7 so we have random days off such as Monday or Thursday and work every other weekend etc... Over all great company to work for and great people around.

Ineffective Managers
Document Conversion Specialist (Contract) (Former Employee) –  Sugar Land, TXJuly 20, 2017
All management in the operations excellence group were ineffective and none were leaders. They rarely were at the office and when they were they were not able to get the things done that needed to be done.

Some early dismissals on days with approaching holidays

More favorable towards males
Lead Admin, Crude Oil Marketing & Trading (Former Employee) –  Sugar Land, TXMay 10, 2017
Learned a lot at this company and made some lifelong friends. However, there seems to be a bias towards advancement or opportunities given to males or managements' friends' friends. Who are males yet 100% unqualified for a position that someone (female) has been there for years, which does not even get a shot.
Pros
Growth strategy; moderately dependent on crude oil price
Cons
Misogynistic

Terrible Management
Outside Operator (Former Employee) –  Sugar Land, TXApril 24, 2017
The Manager of this facility hires young guys to be the supervisors of the various departments. What these guys really are are his puppets who fire the employees that the manager does not like for made up reasons. The supervisors are pathetic young men who will do whatever the manager tells them to do in order to move up in the company. Manager does not want anyone working OT, and if you have to in order to finish your duties for the day, you are called in and chewed out and then not paid for the OT.
Pros
none
Cons
Use GPS to track your every move

I worked for this company for 15 months and all I have ever met are Bullies and But kissers, So if your one of those types and don't mind the occasional racist joke then Join the DAPL team.
Pros

Cons
Bullies, no it all bosses that are always wrong, No life what so ever without the pay, Benefits are terrible, End of the year bonus is a joke if your a brown nose you are sure to get a bonus, Hard work doesn't pay off

Poor Management and very inconsistant
Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Longview, TXApril 6, 2017
Operate and maintain crude oil pipeline systems. Company was great in the beginning and learned a great deal over the years. Sr. Management is micro managed and mid management has no pipeline experience. This creates very bad morale in the field personel. Districts are very top heavy and company policies are inconsistent between districts. Company has declined in benefits and pay is below industry standard.

Lots of bright folks and good place to grow your skills but Company always seemed to be in a state of change.
IT Department (Current Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAMarch 20, 2017
Good place to build a career if you're willing to be flexible. Change should be expected as company expands its global brand with acquisitions. Lots of great people and middle management willing to support your efforts but the lack of "talking" between the different entities did make job tougher than it should have been. There appeared to be some animosity + unwillingness to share information since the "old way of doing things" was being threatened in some cases. Overall an enjoyable place to work when you consider the pay/benefits + opportunities to expand your skills and learn new technologies.
Pros
Nice work place, smart people, Good pay rate and benefits, chance to work with new technologies, credit given when earned
Cons
Change within the Company due to always eminent threat of relocation, best suited for those willing to "follow" their jobs
