Wholesale lending has seen a lot of changes in the past few years and although SunTrust had quite a successful year in 2012, the company could not weather the storms that 2013 brought.
A typical day would include but was never limited to, checking email, monitoring progress of loan, from start to finish, corresponding with brokers, underwriters, and – more... account executives. Obtaining VOE's and other needed documentation all while in a paperless environment.
I absolutely love my coworkers, many tears were shed upon the announcement of the Dec. 31 closing date. We all worked well as a team and were always acknowledged as the best branch, thus receiving quality and compliance incentives monthly.
My operations manager was by far the best manager I've ever had, high expectations, no micro managing, extremely knowledgeable.
The most enjoyable part of my job was communicating with my brokers and AE's. Being able to solve problems and get the borrower to the table is rewarding.
