IT IS A GOOD PLACE TO ESTABLISH A CAREER AND THE PAY AND PEOPLE ARE GREAT

They continue to hire non-experienced people at top wages who have never Underwritten a loan in their lives. This is the only place I know at this time that Underwriing a loan up front is not required in order to get a job here. The problem is...the majority of the people do not pass the audits for their client. There seem to be a million managers who – more... manage nothing! There are over 200 Underwriters on the floor yet there is not an Underwriting Manager. The turn over in the place is at least 60% in the first 6 months. If you have 3 people on your insurance dig deep it will cost you over 900- a month for insurance. At the pace their going, they will lose the main contract with their client and the good as well as the bad will be out of a job. – less

Sutherland is teamwork driven company. Very good to work for. The company is supportive.

The company had contracted to provide phone support for Gateway computers. The department insisted on cycling as many phone calls through the system as possible in order to generate more income. The end result is that the end users received minimal assistance with their computer issues. In the company's defense, the support contract carried the original – more... 'Free phone support for life' as was listed with all Gateways computers at that time. Unfortunately, this meant that many of the customers were calling in with outdated computer that could not be repaired due to the components no longer being manufactured. In short, whether it was simply a rough contract, or a lack of standards for the company, the experience was less that optimal. – less

I loved working at Sutherland and have in fact tried to get back in. I was very successful in their sales programs, and learned many new skills; computer usage, sales and heavy telephone use

Very unorganized and unstable, company has different contracts that usually have non obtainable goals.

Have to learn patients when getting fustrated about response from customers

Took inbound calls for customers that wanted to sign up for home phone services, Fast pace with made the day go by faster. Lots of support from managers and coworkers if I ever needed help.

you learn new things everyday and meet new people every day.

The Sutherland Group had many clients. Intuit, AT&T, Covad are just to name a few. These companys would hire Sutherland to do certin jod duties. If they did not do the job to the companys disire the Sutherland would loose the contract. So as for job security it was up in the air . However The Sutherland was a great company to work for.

I was responsible for maintaining a loyal customer base, as well as making and receiving calls on an automatic dialing machine as well as manual calls. I had a personal close rate of 45% while working here.

I stocked lumberyard, helped load and unload trucks. I helped customers load there goods!

Sutherland offers decent pay and benefits but that is the only good thing about working for this company.

Sometimes i feel Sutherland is not a proffessional enviroment. It has a lot of gavortism here and it can be like a play ground for kindergardners, the staff can be so disrespectful and overly childish
