Assembler (Former Employee) – Solon, OH – September 19, 2016
Busy and I learned new different types of machinery and the co workers are nice the hardest part of the job was nothing since I learn fairly quick the most enjoyable part of the job was learning new skills.
Free pop and coffee and all the fresh fruit you can eat.
Swagelok is an overall good company, that looks out for its employees to a certain extent. They will make you comfortable in your position and make sure you stay in that position. Supervisors and even managers show blatant favoritism and will even "block" you if you try to leave your current position. Even if you try to post out of your position, chances are you wont even receive an interview.
Engineer, Production Supervisor (Current Employee) – Solon, OH – July 13, 2016
I had a few engineering roles in my time at Swagelok, all were rewarding and challenged my technical abilities. I moved into a production supervision role and supervised a team of twenty one machinists and support staff. The job was demanding, but equally rewarding through its opportunities to develop others and drive positive business growth.
Production Associate (Current Employee) – Solon, OH – July 9, 2016
The typical day is fast pace, there is always something new to learn about the product line. Management is your typical management and my co-workers are fun to work with. The hardest part of the job is keeping up all the changes that take place with MTO(made to order) products. The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that the customer's order is correct and the dead lines was met.
When it comes to manufacturing, they are really one of the best companies to work. You will have a job for the rest of your life with them because they have a no lay off policy. Safety always comes first and the management is friendly and helpful.
Assembler II (Former Employee) – Solon, OH – May 18, 2016
i learned to have a positive day at work you have to think positive. you might have coworkers, managers in a bad mood but you cant let that bring down your mood either. You still have to give your all in the work place and make sure the customer gets the up most respect and service. I enjoy working with people. I enjoy seeing the different types of people there is and learning how to communicate with them. The hardest part of the job is to sometimes take up people slack with out a choice because it has to be done. You also have your work to do and when someone else does not want to do their job and you cannot find a supervisor, you are left to do it.
Maintenance (Current Employee) – Solon, OH – April 28, 2016
A typical day a Swagelok is pretty good. start the shift off with a team meeting to ensure that the entire team knows the daily game plan is on the same page as for as task needed to be completed. Work environment is family orientated and fun to interact with either co-workers or supervisors, managers, executives and etc.
At the beginning we would have a up to date meeting. We set up a 5S program to simplify work center and to make job production and quality easier. Company was run under good, experienced management. Co-workers were easy to get along with. I enjoyed the whole work environment. The hardest part was the long drive to work.
Opportunity to advance in the company, excelent benefits
