Expert skills in procedural sedation (Current Employee) –  Edmonds, WAFebruary 2, 2017
Swedish is not Providence. It has undergone a lot of changes since it was taken over. It has been stressful as they are looking to cut costs and increase workload.

Difficult for me to assess due to limited days of working there. I have the impression Swedish has good objectives in trying to please staff and employees

Don't expect much respect as an RN
staff (Former Employee) –  unitDecember 3, 2013
Bullied by another staff member for months, HR supported the staff member with the initials MD after their name, Union was useless
Would not recommend this as a safe work environment. Take your chances, you may have a more supportive manager. It was a horrible, but enlightening experience
Pros
Patients were pleasant
Cons
unsafe work environment, in all respects

RN- Medical/Ortho/Overflow unit (Current Employee) –  Edmonds, WAMarch 24, 2013
A typical day starts with 4-5 patients with multi-system issues. With the help of my team, taking care of these patients is usually challenging on time but very rewarding when the patient looks happy and comfortable.
Pros
great experience
Cons
very busy at times, hard to get a break

wonderful place to work, great people
Sterile Processing Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Edmonds, WAOctober 29, 2012
I would give staff their assignments and prepare the instruments for surgery, we would pickup dirty instruments and reprocess them for use through out the day. I learned that with a great staff that you trust and that trust you nothing is impossible, My management and co-workers were excellent people who all shared one goal and that was to take care of the patients the best we could, the hardest part of the job was solving the very problems that arose during the course of the day. The best part of my job was my staff
Pros
great place to work for a great cause
Cons
my job did not have an off switch
