Switchyard Media (http://switchyardmedia.com/) is a small storytelling studio with big ideas looking to begin an ongoing relationship with a dynamic flash/web developer to help finish a custom media player/editor we intend to bring to market.
Our prototype is nearly 80% complete, so initial hire will likely be of a contract nature to help round out development for this stage (2-3 months), specifically with the development of some HTML5 templates utilizing lightbox, responsive design, and ad-feeds. Upon successful completion of that, we would want you to support our lead programmer in further development, consolidation, and reinforcement of the code as we continue to develop the product.
Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of Actionscript 3 for application development and a background in OOP. An understanding of program architecture, API usage, database/server interactions and PHP is necessary, as are great HTML5/CSS3 chops. An interest in kiosk design, mobile/tablet interactives and new media communication is also desirable and very much in the spirit of the project.
More then that, we are looking for a good personality - as a small team that mostly telecommutes, self guidance and an outgoing communication are a must. Though most of the actual work will be done remotely, you must live in the Seattle area to be considered as we wish to meet you and for attendance of weekly in-person meetings.
If this sounds interesting, please visit our job page at http://switchyardmedia.com/flashdevjob-01 to apply. We look forward to hearing from you.
