No one is micromanaged. Concerns are addresses quickly and resolved. Everyone has that cando attitude.

You're working for a corporation. The hours are long. You leave when you get done. If you have a positive attitude and regularly show up at work you can easily advance. It's manual labor, don't kid yourself, its hard work.

It has an excellent culture, where people can collaborate to come up with solutions to problems. One area of weakness however is that management does not like to make decisions.

I really enjoyed working with the people at Syngenta and the fast paced environment.

Optimized the supply chain through TMS/SAP. Utilizing CassPort to pay freight bills, filling claims and developing KPI analytics.

I had a great experience there. Repetitive work does get boring but pays the bills. I learned from asking around how this company continues its work. Learn plenty of things about corn. Enjoyable part of the job was cleaning out the semi-trucks out. And clean up.

Don’t have one at this time, although there is a high turn-over rate that I’m not happy about.

Get ready to get your hands on some plants! You will be walking the fields and helping to pollinate or mark for further use, a type of crop of their desire. Hard work but good pay.

A lot of differents things to do each day: review new product labels, prepare new marketing campains, think about new products line

Left hand doesn't speak to the right hand. Policies and procedures are written, sometimes, but not followed. Difficult to work there if you care for people, business, and have good values and ethics.

Provide direct assistance to NA HR Head; secondary assistance to NA Comp Head and US HRBP Heads; may support other within HR with events, meetings, etc. as needed
• Provides first line contact with Greensboro personnel, company executives, Syngenta management, employees and the public
• Provide exceptional calendaring for NA HR Head
• General administrative – more... duties, special events and activities as requested
• Assist with event planning logistics, such as invitations, venue selection and bookings
• Complete domestic and international travel bookings for support positions as requested
• Input and review expense reports requested by positions supported as requested
• Preparation of correspondence, reports, presentations and other material as needed for internal and external meetings using a strong working knowledge of Windows Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Concur and some SAP applications.
• Participate in department meetings as requested; may include capturing minutes, notes, decisions made, and actions
• Screening of incoming calls and material; respond accordingly as needed
• Providing relevant information such as cost center and general ledger codes in order for A/P to process invoices and other payment needs. This will also be done with P-Card and travel cards.
• Following of budget information provided for supported positions.
• Organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete under time constraints. Will need to be able to anticipate the needs of NA HR Head and adapt to last minute change – less

Sygenta was the best company to work for. The way I work and my management style I learned from this company. How to have respect for other, to have compassion for your workers. To be accountable for my job and hold other accountable for their jobs. The hardest thing I ever had to do on this job was to say goodbye to everyone when they close the plant. – more... I made sure everyone has a safe environment and provide employees with safety materials while doing clerical work like Data Entry, Documentation, Records, ect and also provide Safety Trainings to employees.

Syngenta overall is a great organization. However, there are some issues with diversity and silos within ethnic groups. There is lots of productive work to keep employees busy. They foster an environment of continuing education through the Syngenta Learning Academy. The hardest part of the job is the lack of a diverse work force and inability to grow. – more... Syngenta Seeds is an interesting organization and for some it could be a great place to work. However, if you are a motivated, high integrity individual this may not be the place for you.

Syngenta is a very bureaucratic organization which isn't surprising given it's Swiss roots. However, many individuals in the trenches simply don't know how to advance – more... efforts through the bureaucracy which greatly stifles progress. For those individuals that have learned to manage the bureaucracy they have largely become so politically entrenched and motivated that they represent obstacles as they are focused on their personal agendas.

In the end the culture, while cozy, is simply frustrating. – less

Beautiful new state of the art building, excellent benefits and compensations but.... With the ability to work remotely, from anywhere came the expectation that one would work until the job was done no matter what the hour, day of week or holiday. Whether on vacation or not. If you have that kind of time then the compensation and benefits are worth – more... it. Stressful and demanding but the site is beautiful and has a cafe, gym, walking trails, fire places, flat screen televisions, parking ramp, on site clinic, mother's room, free expresso and coffee machines.
