Working at T-mobile was an excellent experience. Everyday was different and filled with opportunity. The environment was friendly and co-workers were always respectful and helpful. I was fortunate to build a great relationship with my manager which made my time there very enjoyable. A typical day at work involved setting up a T-mobile environment at local Walmarts and Sam Clubs which included, a table, T-mobile banners, display phones, and sometimes even balloons that matched our company colors! It was all about sales and people skills. Everyday i will attracted customers and provide them with information on new phones and great – more... data plans in hopes to sell them the best product at the best value for their needs. The only true co-workers i had were the ones at the Walmarts or Sam Clubs i was required to visit that day. In a way, i was my own boss. The hardest part of the job was entering all the data for sales into the computer at the end of the day, but it was more tedious than hard. The best part of the Job were the extremely flexiable hours and being your own boss during most of the work week. – less

Cons: training feels rushed, policies change without warning, customers are almost always rude and there's little to nothing you can do about it.
Simply put, if you can handle this job, and enjoy it, you will succeed. But This job will do nearly everything in it's power to tear you away from life, at least it did for me. Very fast paced, challenging call center environment. Exciting to work with the newest technology in mobile communication, mobile broadband, etc. Management is fair, opportunity to grow, stable income, above average pay, potential for monthly bonus. Benefits are above average as well, fun atmosphere. Great opportunity!

Cons: no balance between home and work life, third parties are disadvantaged, job security suffers based on performance that cannot be controlled due to traffic at times
T-Mobile is a great company with plenty of room for advancement and the possibility to be the best job anyone could ever have. As long as you work on the corporate side and not a third party in-direct retailer, quality of life will be maximized.

WORST POSSIBLE LOCATION TO WORK REGARDLESS OF OCCUPATION.

I cannot stress this enough, T-Mobile is a GREAT company, however, if you work for a non-corporate location you play a different game. You follow different rules and if you had a manager that belittles you, you will hate your job.

Choose wisely, and always choose corporate.
