A Northwest Arkansas company is seeking a Project Engineer. This position is located in Northwest Arkansas. The Project Engineer is responsible for coordination of Engineering Department activities including capital projects, training, performance tracking, and maintaining engineering records, drawings and files. This position requires good organizational, computer, and communication skills.
Capital Project Management - Manage capital projects as assigned by Plant Engineer. Supervise contractor work, track spending vs. budget, and coordinate work with production departments. Assist senior engineers with larger capital projects.
Engineering Coordination - Department ISO Training and Documentation kept up to date. Engineering and Maintenance KPIs tracked and reported. Other engineering administrative duties completed as needed.
Maintain Auditable Project Management folders for Capital projects. - Records are kept up to date and organized.
Files are neat and orderly.
Assist engineering staff to compile information on projects.
Create and update engineering drawings. - Create new drawings using calipers, micrometer, and other tools such as AutoCAD programs. Update existing drawings based on mark-ups.
Engineering Documentation: fill out New Equipment Forms, Comissioning/Decomissioning forms, and organize project files.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, Etc.)
Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong skills in the use of MSOffice (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Strong organizational and record keeping
Knowledge of industrial equipment (conveyors, pumps filtrationsystems, cleaners, fillers, cappers, labelers, packers, and material handling systems.
Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments.
Technical Functional Skills:
Strong AutoCAD skills
Familiar with MS Project
Ability to read, interept, and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports and manuals.
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma
DOE 75K with a potential 10% bonus
Some relocation provided.
