A typical day at the Talon involves brewing coffee, preparing and making food and ice drinks, maintaining cleanliness around the establishment, greeting and serving customers, and working the register. I learned about different types of coffee and ways to create drinks that are fun and enjoyable for all. You are in constant, close proximity to your coworkers, so you learn to work as a team. Sometimes it becomes hard when there is a 'rush' and you are constantly moving at a fast pace to accomplish a common goal. However, you get to work with great people who love making and serving coffee.
