Tandus Flooring rolls out the red carpet for knockout business customers, including retailers, schools, hospitals, and government offices, in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The company's manufacturing facilities in North America and China produce a large selection of broadloom tufted flooring, woven broadloom and modular carpet, and a hybrid resilient sheet flooring (Powerbond). It also produces a flooring underlayment (Powershield) and a growing number of environmentally friendly flooring products. The lineup is sold through company showrooms and sales offices and independent distributors. In addition, Tandus provides such services as needs analysis, carpet planning, installation, and maintenance.
A sustained lull in the residential construction market is driving Tandus to concentrate on the domestic commercial marketplace. It serves a diverse customer base within this niche, such as school districts, universities, and public agencies, traditionally considered less cyclical. Concurrently, the company has contracted out the marketing of its Crossley brand residential products in North America to distributor SHNIER. Across the Atlantic Ocean, Interior Projects Solutions (which acquired Tandus' UK subsidiary in 2007) is the exclusive distributor of the Monterey, C&A, and Crossley brand names in several European countries. – less
