Target is a very productive and fun place to work. Especially for those who are coming in as first time workers. Although Target will gladly cross train you, there is not a lot of advancement opportunities without a college degree. Being that other than a management position you will be stuck at the same pay rate no matter what part of the store you – more... work at. Management are some of the nicest people I have met. Very good at working with you on your work schedule and any problems you face at in the workplace. The hardest part of my job was all the weekends i had to work. Depending on your position you rarely got a Saturday or Sunday off unless you asked for it. I loved working for target. It was a nice friendly environment with room for growth/advancement. There were multiple possible positions available.

Completing multiple task during work schedule due to the fact that the store doesn't have enough hours to run the store properly. Management struggling to fill open spots due to cll outs. Staff moral down due to not getting enough hours in order to take care of their families. Being able to assist the customers is most enjoyable.

get to work organize thing, sell some things, break, sell some more things for a couple hours, another break sell some more things, organize stuff & then leave. i learn how to manage a department kind of. the management was alright but not the greatest. the co-workers were great. trying to do customer service & organizing at the same time was the hardest. – more... the 10% discount was the most enjoyable part. – less

typical retail environment, you were constantly pushed to sell consumers Target credit cards.

Standard Retail experience, High on teaching all skills throughout store. Learned all aspects of store, the people I worked with were exceptional people. Had lots of fun at work and still was professional and helping people find what they needed or directing them to where to go to find what they needed was my goal everyday.

Typical days was to pull orders, receive or load truck. Learned how to operate a lot of machinery, computer skills and how to be fast and do the job right. Hardest part of my job was to keep inventory of our products.

I worked a Target for about 8 months as a Guest Attendant. The job required to keep the parking clear or carts and trash, do hourly bathroom checks, help out to the car and occasionally help on the cash registers when busy.

Putting clothes back onto the floor, cleaning the area, answering phone and helping guests. I learned how to ask for help instead of taking on to much work, and how to create mutual work relationships. My co-workers are friendly and very helpful and informative and answered all of my questions without getting annoyed. Day consisted of the supervison of 55 employees, monitoring inventory, and salesfloor replenishment.

Ringing up customer items, using cash register. Management was a more behind the scenes, didn't work or see a lot of the managers. I mostly worked with Team Leaders. I knew a few of my co-workers and they were friendly and nice to work with. There was nothing really hard about the job maybe closing at night, cause it took so long at times.

I have learned how to work with all different kinds of people. The hardest part of the job was keeping my personal feelings apart from my professional feelings.

This was an okay job. There were slow days as well as fast paced days.

Minimum 50 hour work week. There is a lot of focus on teamwork and partnering with peers and management to ensure store success.

hours were crazy. learned how to muli-task very well. co-workers were great management was not so great. the hardest part about target was cleaning up after guest who don't watch their children.
