friendly tax journalists occasionally in sweatpants, consistently loving dogs
Editorial Assistant (Former Employee) –  Falls Church, VAAugust 3, 2015
A typical work day involves researching tax legislation and documents for around 2 hours in the morning, inputting relevant information into the company's database taking a break and then repeating the process in the afternoon. Throughout the day there is always the opportunity to connect to and engage with your fellow coworkers. Management is very understanding and easy to get along with. I gained a lot of tax information from the experience. The hardest part of the job was adapting to changes. Tax Analysts is consistently improving and try new things. The most enjoyable part of the job is the overall friendly and down-to-earth atmosphere cultivated by the employees.
Pros
Free food and items, friendly staff, accessible by public transit, educational opportunities
Cons
fast-paced, quick changes

Tax Analysts is a great place to work. I enjoyed focusing on Canadian tax law, a new area of the law for me. My co-workers, including upper management, were very pleasant and professional and I liked working with them.
