Great brand but a lot of work needed and too much politics
Technology (Current Employee), New York, NYMay 9, 2014
Pros: compensation, work/life balance, benefits, people
Cons: management, career path, direction.
TD Securities is a fantastic brand with great people and great values. However, the handling of the New York TDS office has been quite atrocious as far as the technology group goes. No sort of fixed direction from upper management and a revolving door of management personel has left a lot of instability within the organization. The ability to use new – more... technology was a great asset to my skills development, however, guidance from management was non existent, and a career path was nowhere to be seen. – less

Settlements Officer (Former Employee), Settlements FloorFebruary 26, 2012
Pros: professional, trustworthy and exciting career opportunities
Cons: none i can think of
i only worked for TD Securities under contract term thru an agency
for temps, i absolutely loved working for TD Securities. I was hired
as a settlements officer, i had somne experience settling stocks
with a company i had worked with for ten years. It was enough to
get me the contract position with TD Securities, it was without a
doubt one of the most – more... rewarding and exciting 10 months of work
experience i have ever had. I would recommend them as one of
the best employers to work for. Regardless that i was hired thru
an agency, i was treated as one of their own. – less

Pros: work culture, growth, work-life balance
Cons: salary
Good work-life balance. There phases where you are super busy but then there are times when you have lots of spare time. Company promotes advancement and growth. Nice work culture, but again depends on your team and manager.
Recommended to someone who wants to work in financial industry

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Toronto, ONJanuary 9, 2014
Pros: changing environment
Cons: office politics
A typical day at TD was organized and structured. At TD I learned how to multitask and become flexible in my dealing with arranging and rescheduling meetings for the Senior Team and the purchasing of Travel Arrangements Domestic and International for our Management Team.
The hardest part of my job was having to deal with the array of the politics of – more... the office. – less

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Toronto, ONNovember 23, 2013
Pros: the company has great commitment to the community and its employees.
Cons: the company needs more employee perks.
Ideally, this position allowed me the opportunity to utilize my experience and knowledge as an Administrative Assistant.

The reputation I have enjoyed gave me the confidence as member of the organization in which I provided: Maturity, honesty, efficiency, reliability, and the knack for immediately establishing a good rapport with clients.

Possessing – more... the knowledge of general office procedures, I looked at challenges as opportunities.

I dealt with a wide variety of people, in every case I assessed each individual situation, each individual’s needs and how to address them most effectively.

As a very active consumer, I am well aware of the importance of prompt, attentive service and painfully aware that it is rare these days. I am a hard worker and a quick learner I provided superior service and promoted excellent customer satisfaction. – less

Communications Specialist/Desktop Publisher (Current Employee), Toronto, ONOctober 11, 2013
Challenging and fun. Great opportunity to learn how to be creative and professional all at the same time.
Learned how to balance challenging deadlines while providing excellent accurate end results.
Some of the best people to work with. Professional, smart, supportive.
Most difficult thing was probably how fast things move but if you're dedicated, that – more... becomes second nature.
Most enjoyable was knowing that your work was being presented by some of the smartest people and would probably secure TD a lot of money. – less
