Parts Specialist (Former Employee) – Fontana, CA – November 2, 2017
A typical day at work was very interesting, always something different going on with different customer's and their needs. It was a pleasure working for Tec Equipment, I would still be there but I retired this year in January, sure wish they had a opening for part-time work. Management was very pleasant to work for and they always tryed to work with their co-workers.
The owners at Tec were very, very, nice people to work for, always took care of the people working for them.
Senior Accountant (Former Employee) – Portland, OR – October 23, 2017
There was always something to do everyday that kept your day busy. The company was growing and changing which included a lot of challenges to face. The employees were hardworking and everyone pulled their weight to get their jobs done.
Delivery Driver & Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) – Portland, OR – June 15, 2017
No structure whatsoever. They go through a new employee weekly. No training provided. However the employees that do work there (besides the managers) are very nice and for the most part a pleasure to work with. But with no structure, no training and terrible managers I would not recommend this as a stable job.
New Truck Sales Representative (Former Employee) – Portland, OR – May 3, 2017
TEC is an amazing place to work. The workplace culture has a family feel. It's a great fit for someone with experience to move into. Unfortunately they have little to no training in any position. If that's not a problem, then you could thrive there.
Some Good, Mostly Bad, Poor Management at Branch level
Manager (Former Employee) – Washington State – July 7, 2016
Truly you have to be an insider to succeed within this organization. Inside groups and sub groups at all levels. Senior Corporate management doesn't pay attention to the ground level day to day operations or integrity of the business. Some managers lack honesty and integrity, others are first rate. Told to my face by a manager I was to old to work there. I would have to go. Very non-compliant as far a harassment and discrimination.
Parts Manager (Current Employee) – Fontana, Ca – August 4, 2015
Fun work place with supportive management. Not all about the numbers but how you personally grow and develop. Decent amount of red tape and politics, but this is expected of a big company. Great company.........Growing in the market....
Will chew you up and spit you out as fast as possible
Observer (Former Employee) – Washington – April 14, 2015
Unprofessional atmosphere. Management is full of high school dropouts. Company chronically underpays everyone and will cycle through employees at breakneck speed. Will rip off customers if they can get away with it.
Current Managment will destroy the location and companies reputation
Sales (Former Employee) – Nevada – October 28, 2014
If your not part of the management circle your career at TEC will be short lived. If you enjoy working in an unethical work place this is the job for you. Once you start making any type of commissions you can expect your commission structure to change and not in your favor. The GM knowingly allowing the sale of used piece of equipment to customers with mechanical issues informing me to deliver the truck I being aware of the issue with the truck was completely against my work ethics and morales but in fear of losing my job I did as I was told. Its only a matter of time before this location will be exposed by corporate and customers to realize the unethical practices that go on in the work place. Eventually it all comes full circle what goes up must come down.
