Micro Managed. Long Hours and tough labor in Home Depot.
Service Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  San Jose, CANovember 13, 2017
They will try to keep you in the same role as long as they can. Management is not at all that good, company culture is not based on merit and hardwork, but rather your manager's word of mouth. If your manager does not like you, that's not at all good.

You stay in a home depot all day, your feet will hurt. Other opportunities out there unless this is your first job out of college.
Pros
Company Truck, Company Phone, Gas Card
Cons
Management, Culture, and Stressful Walks

Not bad but not great. Good first job but very tedious and extremely degrading working as a glorified Home Depot associate. Give reps more corporate responsibility.
Pros
power tools
Cons
Home depot

Easy job but company culture isnt great
Field Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXOctober 24, 2017
was great when I first began, after being here for over a year and a half theres no advancement. Spend all day working in Home Depot. Management isnt always realistic with their goals. At the end of the day, its an easy job.

I was just an intern and loved it, only thing holding me back is base salary.
Field Sales and Marketing Intern (Former Employee) –  RIOctober 24, 2017
It is an awesome gig and the company itself is experiencing tremendous growth. The workforce is very youthful, easygoing and fun. Advancement is quick also there are a large amount of benefits. Only reason I did not take the job was because the base salary was not very high.
Pros
company truck, company phone, structured job system, high growth, fun, independence, comission
Cons
Starting salary, can get repetitive, some heavy lifting, need to work inside of Home Depot

Job is fun and relatively simple. You do get tired of going to the home depot every day, but that is the only bad thing. Lot of advancement opportunities

Managers make it or break it
Field Sales and Marketing Representative (Former Employee) –  West Palm Beach, FLOctober 17, 2017
After 2 years and five managers I really just could not take it at this job anymore, and if you're not a "favorite" you're not getting promoted ever. Definitely do not recommend this job to anyone.
Pros
Vacation, 401k, company truck
Cons
Managers can be awful, short leash

Product Development Manager (Former Employee) –  Anderson, SCSeptember 24, 2017
A lot of emphasis on innovation and new products. Everyone participates with ideas and improvements for which management ought to be more grateful. When financial goals are not met, salary increases and 401k matches are cancelled.

Great place to start your career
Merchandising Manager (Former Employee) –  Anderson, SCAugust 31, 2017
If you are looking for a great place to stand out and get started in your career this is the place. If you want to get ahead expect to work long hours and take on extra projects, you will get great experience but not necessarily the pay to go along with it. Company was growing rapidly and adding categories while I was there and did not hire the correct amount of staff to help with the extra work. Overall good experience and very glad I started my career there.
Pros
Great career starter, Cool products
Cons
Short staffed, Overworked

You are a glorified Home Depot employee. Management does not help and does not provide a track for progression for you. you are also alone 40 hrs a week very boring. easy job, not a career unless you are part of the favorites and get promoted quickly. Promotions are given due to re locations and if you're favored.
Pros
Free gas but its not free it gets taxed.
Cons

Company still needs a bit of work.
Field Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Northern VAJuly 17, 2017
This job is an okay for recent grads. However, as easy as they make it seem (during the interview process, training, etc.), it is incredibly difficult to move up. Is the work hard? No. But with the limited number of internal positions available, you will stay in the field role for quite a while. If that is your speed, then this job may be for you. But to be blunt, working inside a Home Depot every day gets old...fast. Essentially you will be updating signs, price tags, and fixing displays. So I mentioned, is the work hard? No. But I didn't find the work intellectually stimulating or fulfilling.

Productive workplace with advancement opportunity: Prepare for personal life to be invaded
Field Sales and Marketing Representative (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXJune 16, 2017
The job is easy but tedious. You will never be fully caught up as you're hit with many new objectives in an environment that constantly tears down your old ones. Very physically demanding for a marketing role. Very little marketing done. More Brand Management oriented.
Pros
Room for advancement
Cons
Cutthroat business culture, your house will be overtaken by cardboard clutter. Not really a marketing role.

Outside Vendor in a Home Depot
Field Sales and Marketing Representative (Former Employee) –  New JerseyJune 14, 2017
-Typical work day consist of downstocking, cleaning up bays, demoing tools and clip striping around the store.

-Management is young around 23-30 years old. Some managers are very nice and good and others just want stuff to yell about or love to hear themselves talk.

-Workplace culture is the same as working as a Home Depot associate but with better pay.

- Hardest part of the job is keeping up with everything. Making sure all the whole are filled with product, making sure all the bays with your products are clean and have the right advertising cards all while trying to sale products.

Work/Life Balance is the best part of the job.

Strong work environment with ability to contact anyone in company for help. Everyone is like minded with an aggressive mentality toward winning each day. Constantly learning on a day to day basis, with each day bringing a new challenge. Most enjoyable part is the people you work with.

Competitive pay, great benefits, excellent work culture, incredible products.
If you need the same routine everyday and/or to be micromanaged then this job is not for you. If you want to be a part of a incredibly innovative and competitive company that offers a fast track career then you need to explore a career with TTI.
