The Telecare Riverside County Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) will be a 12-chair program for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and need immediate treatment and support. The purpose of the CSU is to help people find relief from distress, maintain stability in their lives, avoid inpatient hospitalization wherever possible, and transition back to their lives with follow-up treatment resources and community supports in place. This service provides less than 24-hour care to consumers of all ages. 2- week New Hire Orientation is scheduled for Monday, July 21st and will start accepting clients on August 4th. The CSU will be housed in the same building as the 16 bed Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF).

The LVN/LPT provides services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician; provides documentation to the Treatment Team of response to treatment and notifies all parties of clinical changes of condition; provides a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing an acute emergency related to a mental health disorder.

One (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing; graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician program, current licensure by the State of California; sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues; demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment, knowledge of psychotropic medications and knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the delivery of mental health services in the State of California. Must have valid CPR certification
