Telecommand Software and Services is looking for data migration and conversion specialists for a project in Sacramento, California. The selected candidates will perform hands on development work. Telecommand would like to conduct phone interviews at the earliest.

Here are the mandatory requirements:
Experience mapping and migrating data from hierarchical and relational data systems on at least four projects, with at least two of the projects involving the movement of mainframe data to a non-mainframe platform such as Windows.

Experience with multiple ETL tools and concepts.

Experience migrating, cleansing, and converting data to at least three transactional databases and two data marts or warehouses.

Experience coding and implementing ETL scripts on at least three projects, synthesizing redundant data from multiple source systems.

Experience crafting predictive algorithms on at least two (2) projects to identify and reduce data anomalies.

Experience using and updating a data dictionary on at least three projects.

Experience utilizing multiple structured query languages.

Experience leading meetings with diverse parties: executives, architects, analysts, developers.

Following are nice to have requirements:
Experience with Software AG’s Event Replicator, , MS SQL Server 2008, MS SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Reporting Services, MS SQL Integration Services, Software AG’s Predict, Sybase, ASP and .NET.

Experience as a database administrator (DBA) for a relational database platform for at least one year for an operational transactional or data mart/warehouse system.

Experience making formal and information presentations to various levels of project stakeholders (sponsors, executive steering committees, project teams) and lead structured discussion sessions and knowledge transfer activities. This includes the development of visual presentations and handouts used as part of the oral presentation.
