fast pace workplace with no room for erros
Data Processing/Inventory Management (Former Employee), Asheboro, NC – April 22, 2013
Pros: if you like the work and working overtime. this is a job for you.
Cons: high demand for the kits, so we work about 60 hours a week.
Keyed the orders before sending the parts in the rooms, made sure the lot numbers matched with the correct part. Made sure the orders and credits were keyed in a timely manner in order to keep the rooms operating. It’s a fast pace job with a high demand for the products. Worked 40-72 hours a week. It’s very import to have no errors because these are – more... kits made for the surgery room. These part are used to save lives – less

Great people, hard work, high demand, average compensation
Senior Network Infrastructure Architect (Current Employee), Research Triangle Park, NC – February 23, 2013
Pros: some of the best people i have ever known are at teleflex.
Cons: short sighted directives and fluctuating budgets causing a lack of organization
Teleflex is a global medical device manufacturer and distributor. Focus is on manufacturing, sales and distribution with little recognition of IT importance means that resources are limited and there is a high demand on IT employees and long hours. The business shows a lack of clear direction and poor planning leading to unclear directives for the teams. – more... There is not an avenue for management to obtain employee feedback to provide suggestions for improvements. The budget is always fluctuating causing the need for continuous replanning. The IT technology is diverse and always offers us room to grow and develop. The technical skill level is high and the team members are tight making IT like more of a family than an organization. Some of the best people I know work at Teleflex. I love the interaction and the challenge.

The typical work day: I worked on about 10 projects similtaneously: from branch office designs for installations, to WAN redesigns, to Global wireless design, to new site installations, to integration of aquired companies to a new data center. I trained new Network employees and mentored others. I supported other teams and was the go to resource for all network information. I attended new technology meetings and vendor mangement for remote site implementations. I wrote multiple technical documents for design, implementation and support of the network. – less

Not a great place to work, especially as a temporary employee and the pay is way under par.
Material Handler (Current Employee), Asheboro, NC – February 15, 2013
Pros: warehouse experience is beneficial for future jobs
Cons: the pay is awful, they require an outrageous amount of overtime at times, the company managers do not care about th employees at all, the managers look at emoloyees as easily replaceable and not as an important asset to the company.
First ofall, 80% of the company is temporary workers employed by TRC Staffing. Teleflex rarely hires any temps on as a full time employee and the pay is WAY too low for the hours you are forced to work. Full time employees in the same position are being paid three times as much as the temps, while the temporary employees work circles around the full – more... timers in terms of speed and amount of work done in a single day.A typical day at teleflex starts at 5am. One minute after five and you recieve a tardy, which is a half point. After 4 points and you're terminated. The job is extremely easy, no matter which department you're in. That being said, the amount of gossip and drama is outrgeous. Everyone tattles on people and talks about everyone behind their backs. Across the entire plant, you will hear gossip and people talking behind someone else's back. The place is worse than high school and the managers are just as bad as everyone else. The best part of the job is the warehouse experience that could be used to move on to somewhere else and make the money that you should be making doing this job. – less

Back Order Issues
Critical Care Medical Sales Specialist (Former Employee), Jacksonville, FL – February 11, 2013
Pros: great managers, best products, fun work environment
Cons: back order issues, poor pay
Teleflex Medical is a great company and a fun place to work. If it weren't for their constant back order issues that effected your sales numbers they would be great. I worked for them for almost 6 years and had a lot of fun. Great managers, let you run your territory like your own business and was consistently adding new products to their pipelines – more... for us to sell. Met good people and had some great times working here. – less

Disruptive Work Environment
Proof Reader (Former Employee), Research Triangle Park, NC – July 30, 2012
I don't have a favorable review of this employer. I was a contract/temp employee for 14 months. It was very disorganized and sometimes hostel between permanent full time employees and contract employees. A very difficult work environment where the employees were rewarded for their unprofessional behavior.

Associate Quality Engineer (Former Employee), Fort Worth, TX – May 29, 2012
Pros: good employee appreciation activities
Cons: gossip, and cliques rule the company
The management is under-educated, but determined to do their best. Time is spent putting out fires, very good fire-fighters, and when there is down time, they spend it improving the business.
