A Wild Ride, Not for the Faint of Heart
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) – Sherwood, AR – September 8, 2015
Typical Day at Work: Depending on what role you are in, whether working for a contract or being part of the support team on a contract, a "typical" day can be dramatically different. Working for a contract is usually more stable and less stressful.
The Hardest Part of the Job: Sometimes procedural changes can happen daily or even hourly. If you are used to a typical 8 to 5 with everything laid out perfectly in front of you, this place ain't for you. Also, on the support/operations side, your hours aren't really set. You sometimes have to come in early or stay until the work is done.
The Most Enjoyable: The people that you meet and work with. This is probably one of the few places where the phrase "we are like family" actually meant something in the grand scheme of things. They are quick to forgive and forget, they are a very diverse cast of characters from all over the country, and once you are plugged into this crazy place, you'll find it hard to leave.
Once you are in, you are pretty much in; flexibile scheduling
Sometimes chaotic changes made last minute; no benefits beyond 401K for most employees
