Dumpster diving has never looked so good. TerraCycle makes upcycled products out of previously non-recyclable trash. The company offers tote bags, backpacks, and kites made from snack food wrappers; pencils made out of newspaper; and picture frames made from bicycle chains and circuit boards, among other products. More than 28 million people around – more... the world collect waste for TerraCycle and ship it to the company free of charge. (Companies such as Kraft and Solo Cup that make packaging and wrappers foot the bill for waste collection.) TerraCycle also offers a line of eco-friendly cleaning products; all of its goods are sold at major retailers such as Target, Wal-Mart, and Whole Foods. – less
